Richard "Dick" F. Falk, 91, Green Bay, went to his eternal reward on Friday, September 13, 2024. He was born August 17, 1933, in Green Bay to Manuel John and Alice Margaret (Burlo) Falk.
Dick attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School and graduated from Catholic Central High School, Class of 1953. After his high school graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1953 to 1956. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Ticonderoga and served several more years in the Naval Reserves. His time in the military helped to shape his stern and quiet (unless he was joking around) personality.
He was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. Agnes Parish. Dick served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul for many years. He was in charge of many of the church collections, assisted in marriage preparation through the parish, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
On June 9, 1956, he married Marlene A. Grady at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. Together they started a family and established Falk Carpet Service Inc. in 1965. Dick was always a hard worker and passed along his strong work ethic to his family. Falk Carpet Service Inc remains family owned and operated. Dick was a dedicated father who dutifully provided for his family and loved them more than anything.
His life and legacy will be fondly remembered by his wife, Marlene; children, Julann (Michael) Mackin, Brian (Linda Nelson) Falk, Michelle (Dave) Baron, Jeanie (Guy) Donart; daughter-in-law, Betty Falk; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Grande, Patrick (Sarah Hershman) Mackin, Anne (Tyler) Emanuel, Christopher (Jodi Petosky) Falk, Andrew (Jessie Balthazar) Falk, Aaron Falk, Austin Falk, Samantha (Matthew) Wright, Alex Watermolen, Lucas Baron, Kyle Donart, Kayla Donart; great-grandchildren, Jack, James, Violet, Mackin, Cayden, Harvey, Howie, Rowan, Harper; sister-in-law, Gwen Falk; brothers-in-law, Harry Jr. (Kathy) Grady, Gary (Janice) Grady and Gene (Judy) Grady; many nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Alice; son; Eric; infant son, Richard; granddaughter, Marnie Mackin; brothers, Rev. Gerald Falk, Rev. Robert Falk, Dr. Jim Falk; sister-in-law, Elaine (Howard) Plog.
