Reginald A. "Reg" Bayard, 98, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025 after many loving visits from family. He was born October 14, 1927, in Green Bay to August and Caroline (Reinhard) Bayard.
Reg attended Central Catholic High School. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a parts clerk in Japan after WWII. After returning to the U.S., he met and married the love of his life, Grace Zeise. They began their blessed life together on July 10, 1954 at St. Willebrords Church. He was a dedicated father and a man of deep faith. Reg knew the power of prayer and taught his children the importance of daily prayer. He and Grace always said, "the family that prays together, stays together." For over 60 years, Reg and his family took time to lovingly pray together. Reg was a longtime active member of St. John the Baptist and loved going to brunch with friends after mass. He also spent many years as a member of Catholic Foresters. After 40 years of working for Fort Howard Paper Company, Reg retired in 1988. Reg was an avid Packer fan and cheered on the team from home and in the stands. Reg and Grace loved tending their expansive garden and enjoyed sharing their abundant harvest. They also enjoyed traveling around the country to visit family.
He is survived by his children, Joanne Schieble, Joe (Kathy) Bayard, Jim (Rhona) Bayard, John Bayard; grandchildren, Brooke (Ryan), Alex, Nicole (Dylan), Jeffrey, and Caroline (Justin); great-grandchildren, Gage, Savannah, and Rory; brother-in-law, Roger Zeise; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Grace; son, Jerry; daughter, Judy; parents, August and Caroline; siblings, Cyril (Helen) Bayard, Sr. Jerome Bayard.
