Rebecca Rose Ratajczak of Hobart passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 10th, 2024.
Rebecca came roaring, full force into this world February 1st, 1997- where she gave us a run for our money. She was transported to Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee where she was then diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). She was under care at CHW through her childhood and switched over to Froedtert Hospital for adult CF care. Throughout her childhood she spent most of her time loving up on all the animals, running around with her brother Andrew and cousins, and so many other things.
All throughout her life she was surrounded by racing. Beca loved to be able to go and watch her dad, Dan, race. Most Fridays and Saturdays were spent as a family at the racetrack in Luxemburg or Sturgeon Bay watching and attempting to help dad fix his car. As she got older, she became a bartender at 141 International Super Speedway/Left Turn Lounge where she created many friendships, and memories with the racing family. She loved to listen to music, and if you ever were at the house, you could hear Frank Sinatra blasting through the windows. Her brother and her bonded over this love for music and she enjoyed going out to support him as he DJ'd. Over time he taught her how to do it herself. She debuted her first solo night of DJ'ing at 141 Speedway, where she eventually graduated to helping her brother DJ'ing at Boone for IMCA Supernationals.
Her love for animals motivated her to work at Animal House in Green Bay, and this is where she met the boy who changed her life, Hercules James. Rebecca loved Hercules so much that she decided he was going to come home with her forever. Rebecca gave Hercules the nickname Tri-Pod when he unfortunately lost his back leg. Her love for him never wavered and he followed her through life's ups and downs.
She purchased her first house with the intention of designing and remodeling it herself- and that is exactly what she did. This is where her love of design started, and she decided she wanted to go to school for Architectural Technology. In 2018 she graduated from NWTC in Green Bay. She took that degree and started her career at Immel as a project manager. Her career then brought her to Seymour Lumber where she worked in Architectural Design. She loved being able to help bring people's dream homes to life. She loved working alongside her office roommate, and they were always up to shenanigans together. You could always hear laughter coming from their office, well really any room that Rebecca was in. Her laugh was contagious. Rebecca loved to travel and be surrounded by her family and friends.
Rebecca was loud, she was sometimes sassy, and could be your biggest pain- but she also had the biggest heart in the room. She was sunshine mixed with a little hurricane. She touched so many people's lives and made everyone feel loved and special. She was the best daughter, sister, and friend. If you ever needed help with anything, she would be there right away asking what she could do to help. She truly appreciated the love and support of her family and friends. Rebecca will be truly missed, but she will never be forgotten. She will live on through each and every one of us, every day.
Rebecca sadly leaves behind her parents, Angela (Riemer) and Daniel J. Ratajczak, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, and their newborn child, Andrew, Emma, & Baby Ratajczak; her beloved companion, Hercules; and grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparent's, Daniel and Carol Ratajczak, Sr. and Crystal DeHut.
A Celebration of Rebecca's life to honor her many achievements and passion for life will be held on April 13th, 2024, at JW's Place, N5685 Cnty Rd E, Casco, from 1 pm until the cows come home. If you have any photos or videos you would like to share, please upload them here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6TkqMc32S8D2auqd7 . To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
