Raymond P. "Ray" Wery, 74, Green Bay, passed away on June 4, 2025. He was born on March 21, 1951, in Milwaukee. Ray was adopted two months after his birth by his great uncle and aunt Harry and Mabel (Fonder) Wery.
Raymond was a graduate of West High, Class of '68. On July 14, 1973, he was united in marriage to Linda Moes at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, WI. Ray worked on the family farms for many years and worked at Leicht Transfer and Storage (Now RGL) for 35 years before retiring in 2013.
Ray could talk to anyone and was always willing to lend a hand with a bungee cord, zip tie, or his pocketknife if needed. Ray enjoyed snowmobiling, going out west to hunt, and getting coffee with his friends and cousins, where they would try to solve the world's problems. Ray loved to spend time with his granddaughters and was proud to see them at their recitals and competitions. He had a deep appreciation for cars, especially Mustangs and Corvettes. Ray was an incredible cultivator and farmer who could operate almost any implement. He owned a Christmas tree farm for many years up north.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Deanna (Nick) Nighbor, Mark (Amanda) Wery; grandchildren, Eva, Audrey, Alice, Olivia. Sister-in-law Patricia (Jim) Kroncke: Brother-in-law, Randy (Linda) Moes; cousin who was like a brother to Ray, Grant Wery; good friend, Randy Hockers; as well as other relatives, and dear friends.
Ray was preceded in death by, his parents; his brother, James "Jim" Wery; sister, Linda Tuttle.
Friends and family will visit at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1350 Bond St. on Tuesday, June 10 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. A memorial service for Ray will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kim Swenson officiating. To send condolences online, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
