Ralph "Paul" Soquet, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was born October 21, 1939, to the late Ralph and Katherine (Basche) Soquet.

Paul grew up in Green Bay and went to St. Patrick's Grade School, graduating from Premontre High School, Class of 1958. He attended UW – Green Bay Extension and the University of Wisconsin, where he completed his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Chemistry and Biology.

Following graduation Paul accepted a teaching position in Orfordville, WI. He then taught for many years at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc, until retiring to his home on the Bay of Green Bay.

In his younger years, he was involved in the Northeastern Wisconsin Fair, operating food and beverage stands with friends. Paul was a dedicated duck hunter and a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited. When it wasn't duck season, he loved to fish both walleye and perch on the "Bay" and greatly enjoyed his annual trips to Cass Lake in Minnesota.

Boating and snowmobiling were also favorite hobbies with friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his annual boat trip across the "Big Pond" to Michigan. Paul spent much time snowmobiling on the Bay as well as many weekends at Cheney's in Laona with stops at Johnny's Resort along the "100-miler" trail.

He is survived by cousins, Gary Bertrand, Dan Carroll and many other cousins and friends. Paul's door was always open, and he welcomed friends to visit without invitation.

Per Paul's wishes, no funeral service will be held. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
