Peter G. Beth, 73, Green Bay, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, August 11, 2022. He was born December 8, 1948, in Green Bay to Arthur and Monica (McKloskey) Beth.
Peter graduated from Premontre High School. He married the love of his life, Linda Bergner on March 3, 1968, in Menominee, MI. Peter always kept .68¢ in his pocket to honor the year they were married. He joined the air force on May 15, 1968 and served until May 16, 1972. Peter was stationed at Johnston Atoll during the Vietnam War. He continued his schooling and graduated from UW-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Development. Peter was a district director for Boy Scouts and worked for the City of Green Bay in the Personnel Office for 11 years. Teaching was one of his gifts which he shared by being a driver's education instructor retiring in 2020. Peter loved being a ham radio operator, playing his guitar (he was in a band in high school), photography, reading, and being a lifelong learner. He had a strong faith and through his spirituality, he found meaning in everything. He was a people person and loved to talk and tell jokes. Within each connection he found purpose.
He is survived by his bride of 54 years, Linda Bergner. Sons, Peter (Lisa) Beth, Aaron (Roxanne) Beth. Grandchildren, Peter Iii (Special friend Cheyenne), Beth, Austin (Special friend Mick) Beth, Abigail (Special friend Kenny) Beth, Aiden Beth. Sister, Mary Rose Clark. Sisters-in-law, Katie Stollberg, Debbie Bergner, Mary Lou Kroening, Karen Bergner. Brothers-in-law, David (Lori) Bergner, Harrison Bergner.
He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Monica Beth, sister, Lois (Ray) Joski; niece, Julie Barnes; Parents-in-law Harold and Mary Bergner. Brothers-in-law, Bob Stollberg, Ed (Bobbie) Bergner, Bill Bergner, Pat Bergner, Sisters-in-law, Myra Bergner.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16; Memorial Service to follow at 4 p.m. with Military Honors to conclude. To send online condolences, please go to
