Patrick Edward Van Beek, 37, Green Bay, passed away after fighting an autoimmune disease and a sudden massive stroke on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born June 22, 1986, in Green Bay to Dr. Edward and Linda (Volletz) Van Beek.
Patrick graduated from Preble High School, Class of 2005. He went on to attend UWGB and graduated in 2010 with his Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Patrick worked for his father in the medical office and clinic. He enjoyed spending time up north at the cottage or cabin, fishing, boating, cooking, listening to music and getting sunburnt. Patrick was a talented chef and was always cooking for his family. He made the best chili and Bloody Marys. Patrick was an avid Packer, Brewers and Bucks fan, cheering loud at many games. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all sports and music. Patrick had a wide range on interests and knowledge and was a trivia master and fantastic speller. He was everyone's go to guy not only for facts but for anything. Patrick could always be counted on; he was always there and always willing to offer an helping hand. He enjoyed sharing jokes and simply having fun and would never say no to an adventure. He shared his sense of humor and love of adventure with his sister, Kate. Together they went on many memorable excursions. Patrick loved being an uncle and was the best uncle ever. He spoke about his niece and nephew with pride and would frequently share stories of their accomplishments.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. Edward and Linda; sister, Kate (Eric) Premo; nieces and nephews, Lola Premo, Walter Premo; aunts and uncles, Joseph (Tami) Van Beek, Laura (Paul) Van Rite, Robert (Nancy) Van Beek, Diane (Larry) Volletz, Betsy (Alex) Zacarias, Mamie Volletz; cousins, Nathan Van Beek, Kyle Van Beek, Jack Van Beek, Leah Bellin, Kayla Heinz, Sam Van Beek, Victoria Zacarias, Lina Zacarias, Marco Zacarias; his best friend, Bob Martinez; other relatives and friends.
Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnie and Barbara Van Beek, John and Jean Volletz.
Friends and family will gather at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2597 Glendale Ave., (The entrance is directly across from BP gas station on Glendale Ave.) on Tuesday, January 16, from 10 to 12:00 p.m. for the visitation.
