Patrick McDonald, Uncle Buck, Moose Meat, Patty Cakes—went by several names and was loved by many. He was born on September 4th, 1982, to Mary and Chester McDonald. Pat attend St. Bernard, and St. Phillips grade schools, went to Preble High School, and Graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.
His joy was giving to others. Pat literally took the shirt off his back for others, and it was a big shirt with a big smile. The more he gave the more he smiled. He loved spending time with his family, watching movies, playing video games, and listening to music with so many of us.
He had several passions, especially cooking, which he frequently shared. He would show up at all hours with a huge batch of his special chocolate chip cookies or other recipes he created just to bring a smile to our faces.
His passion for singing started early and was lifelong. One of his best "Danny Boy" performances was recently given sending his mom off to heaven.
He had a huge heart that many will remember, giving not just to his two-legged friends and family but his furry four-legged family as well. He was frequently seen around town giving rides to his dogs, including Copper, which was a large copper colored lab who undoubtedly greeted him as he passed into the loving arms of God.
Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Mary, and Grand Parents.
He is survived by his father, Chet (Jacquie) McDonald; brother, Chip (Katie) McDonald; nephews, Will, Henry, and Oliver, grandmother, Carol Maloney; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Then we would like to thank Tony Decker, Nick Marto, Kevin Maloney and Margaret Matuszak for their help, care, and friendship over the years.
There will be a small private family service and a celebration of life held on his birthday where Hawaiian shirts will be required in Early September. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local human society.
