Patricia "Patti" (Donlon) Snortum, 73, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Country Villa Assisted Living, Pulaski, WI.  Patti was born October 5, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Harry and Alta Donlon.

Patti's family moved to Green Bay, WI in the fall of 1954 so Patti could attend Howe Elementary School, which provided educational programming for Deaf and hard of hearing students. There she met her best friend, Linda Reimer.  In November of 1963 , Patti's family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where Patti attended Indiana School for The Deaf.  She graduated from high school there in 1968.  After high school, Patti attended North Central Technical College in Wausau, WI, graduating in May, 1976 with a degree as a clerk-typist.

On March 20, 1976 she married Norbert Snortum in Oshkosh, WI and together they shared 40 years of making each other happy. Patti and Norbert had many friends through the years, however none more dear or supportive than Joe and Marie Heidemann.

Patti was an intelligent, strong-willed woman.  She was our family's historian remembering details of everyone's birthplace, family events, and heritage.   Her strong intellect, sense of humor and ability to tell a story endeared her to many.  She loved to celebrate any occasion and made holidays and birthdays special for her family. She was forever generous and patient while teaching family members sign language, opening up a whole new world of communication for us. She was a lover of animals and seemed happiest while holding a cat or petting a dog, especially her childhood dog, Susie.  Patti had a keen eye for art and as a child and young woman was extremely talented at painting and sketching.

Patti will be missed by her sister, Denise (Bob); VanDenHeuvel; brother, Jim Donlon; stepchildren, Tammy Snortum;  Theresa "Terri " Snortum;  Tina Snortum-Sergent; step-grandchildren, Mia Snortum, Amber, Devyn, Dylon, Duncyn, Breaire Neta; brothers-in-law, Dale (Lynn) Snortum, Gary (Connie) Snortum, David Snortum, Marty Snortum; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norbert; parents, Harry and Alta Donlon; brother, John Donlon; father-in-law, Raymond (Herta) Snortum; mother-in-law, Vernelda (Chet) Ault;  brother-in-law, Karl Snortum.
