On June 3, 2023 Patricia (Armstrong) Denissen was taken to her final home in heaven, just as the most beautiful sunrise was appearing in the sky. Pat was born in Duck Creek in 1934 to Ralph and Gertrude (Landwehr) Armstrong. She was the first born of three daughters.

Patricia met her lifelong love Donald Denissen while still in high school. Don was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War, so after graduating high school she made her way, via train and plane, to join him there. They were married (once the local Methodist pastor returned two weeks later from a fishing trip). Once honorably discharged they made their way back to Wisconsin to build their lives together.

Patricia was very active in her church, holding just about every position possible, in the then United Methodist Women. She loved to play bridge, bowl (even making it to national competition), golf, dance and hunt.  She was one of the first to sell Tupperware in Wisconsin, sold Queens Way to Fashion and sold toys, in the same way, home parties. When her baby started school, Patricia waitressed at Rivers Bend restaurant when it first opened until reaching full retirement.

Preceding her in death is her husband Donald, her parents Ralph and Gertrude, and sister Shirley and husband Ken, brother-in-law Dean, two sons (Keith and Bryan), and two granddaughters (Erin and Adele).

Surviving and missing her already is sister Betty, her 5 daughters (Lonia, Pamela, Rochele, Debra, and Trudy), 11 grandchildren, 15 (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Including her three wonderful sons-in-law. (Dave, Joe and Steve), cousins, nieces and nephews. She leaves a large legacy.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Alpha Senior Concepts, Home Instead, and Unity Hospice for making this final leg of Patricia's journey a good one. And for bringing her daughters comfort, and support to her daughters. Thank you as well to Blaney funeral home for keeping us on task and guiding us through the final arrangements for mom.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 9, at Suamico United Methodist Church, 3266 Lakeview Drive., from 10 – 11:00 a.m.  The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe Williquette officiating. Entombment will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.  To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of mom's favorite charities, Suamico UMC for Missions, Suamico UMC general fund, Habitat for Humanity or Wounded Warrior Project. Above all, make Peace while you can, and love your family. In the end they are the most important thing.
