Patricia Louise (Cole) Moran, 95, Green Bay, gently slipped away on September 17, 2023. She was born May 13, 1928, in Racine, WI, the youngest child born to Lillian and Elmer Cole.
Patricia, in 1948, entered Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, choosing to major in Fashion Design. A favorite family photo is Patricia posing in a dress she designed and made. College ended in 1951 as Patricia and her fiancé, Bernie Moran married on the first of September in Racine. By 1953, their first (of eleven) children was born. Mark was followed by Maryanne, Jim, Ceil, Brian, Paul, Bill, Pat, Ellen, Pete and Dan. They lived on Kellogg St. in Green Bay from 1962 until 2021, with all the children attending St. Patrick's and Annunciation grade schools. Bernie and Pat were married sixty-one years, until Bernie passed away in 2012. Patricia was someone who could draw you a picture, figure out how to feed 13 people with little more than spaghetti and tomato soup, can pickles, discuss Lawrence Olivier's best movies, knit like her Mom, tell a joke, analyze Flannery O'Connor, dote on her grandchildren, make the best of any situation with a smile, hum along with Benny Goodman or Ella Fitzgerald, write letters to her parents for nearly 50 years, volunteer at church or delivering meals, critique the Packers, Brewers or Braves, adopt and love every one of her daughter and sons-in-law and teach you nearly anything. It is no surprise that almost all of her children became teachers. They learned from one of the best.
She is survived by her children, Mark (Catherine) Moran, Maryanne (Mike) Marinetti, Jim (Nancy) Moran, Ceil (Ken) Mueller, Brian (Judy) Moran, Paul (Carol) Moran, Bill (Carol) Moran, Pat (Bethann) Moran, Ellen (Jim) Kullerstrand, Pete Moran, Dan Moran; 19 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Margaret Moran, Kay Zelten; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie; siblings, Marguerite Cole, Maryann Hyduke, Bill Cole.
