Norman Polasek, one week shy of 97 years of age, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025. He was born July 7, 1928, in Marathon County to William and Eleanor (Bartkoviak) Polasek.

Norman grew up on a farm in Marathon County where he attended a one room country school. He graduated from Marshfield High School. Norman drove his father's farm truck on different jobs. He also got to drive a passenger bus from Marshfield to Wausau making two trips daily until he was drafted into service. Basic training was in Fort Hood, Texas where he learned to drive an army tank. He was then shipped to Germany in the Second Armed Division as Occupation Forces where he then drove a supply truck in "B" company of the 57th Armored Division. He then worked odd jobs until getting back into bus driving, driving out of Green Bay for a few years. He went on to drive for RedOwl Food Stores for 31 years.

Norman married Helen Langfeldt in September 1953. Helen passed away on January 26, 2001. After retirement he bought a motor home and traveled the USA. Norman also drove for the Disabled American Veterans for a couple years until the clinic was built here in Green Bay. After 2-1/2 years of traveling alone he met and then married Jane Speicher on January 18, 2003. Jane passed away March 8, 2022.

For several years Norman drove his motor home to the Panhandle of Florida where he spent the winter months. He was a long-time member of St. Agnes Parish where for many, many years he served as volunteer as communion distributor, cleaner, fund raiser to build the church, counted money, booyah prep and fire tender.

He is survived by his sister, JoAnn Gregory; nieces and nephews, Raymond (Christy) Wright, Diane (Steve) Dictus, Robert Wright, Kathleen (Jim Sivanich) Wright, Barbara (Steve) Kovacs, Janet (Doug) Janssen, Bruce (Kimberly) Polasek, Philip (Leslie) Polasek, Ann Polasek, Mike (Pam) Gregory, Colette Gregory, Keith Gregory, Todd (Kim) Gregory; many great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Norman was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen and second wife, Jane; parents, William and Eleanor; siblings, Earl Basil (Bernice) Polasek, Dolores (William) Wright; nephew, Brian Polasek.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Parish, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 AM to 11 AM on Friday, July 11; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 AM. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
