Norbert "Nubs" M. Phillips, 84, Howard, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born October 1, 1938, in Green Bay to Norbert and Pearl (Johnson) Phillips.

Nubs loved to go fishing and hunting. He and his two sons built a log cabin in Crivitz. Before the cabin was built, he did a lot of camping. He enjoyed traveling out west and watching the Packers. Nubs met the love of his life, Carol in the 1970's. For next 50 years they were together and raised a blended family. Nubs was a great dad, was always there for each of them.

He is survived by his children, Steven (Margaret) Phillips, Sheila (Barry) Belschner, Anne (Jim Modl) Follet, Kathy (Gary Biersteker) Phillips; Carol's children, Amy (James) Albers, Scott (Kimberly) Diring; grandchildren, Matthew (Desiree) Wood, Wessley (Lauren) Wood, Bryce (Lauren) Belschner, Jason (Laura) Belschner, Jamie Phillips, Rachel Phillips, Robby (Rebecca) Knaus; Carol's grandchildren, Brooke Albers, Anthony Diring, Michael Albers, Alex Diring, Hayden Diring, Austin Diring, Jocelyn Albers, Taylor Albers, Elizabeth Diring, Ashton Diring; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Demoulin, Beverly Powers, Eddie (Vicki) Phillips, JoAnn (Bernie) Stelmach, Dale (Cindy) Phillips; sister-in-law, Ann Phillips; mother of his children, Ellen Moseng; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Nubs was preceded in death by his son, Mark Phillips; his significant other of 50 years, Carol Diring; his parents, Norbert and Pearl; siblings, Dick Phillips, Otis Phillips, Ronnie (Linda) Phillips, Sandy (Richard) Clark, Lloyd Phillips; brothers-in-law, Rod Demoulin, Tom Powers; sister-in-law, Sandy Phillips.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 7; Service to follow at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
