Nancy Louise Pagel, 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1943, in Green Bay to Harris and Eleanor (Mura) Maccaux.

Nancy graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1962. On May 25, 1963, she married the love of her life, Gary Lee Pagel, at St. Jude Catholic Church. Together, they shared more than 54 wonderful years of marriage before Gary's passing in 2017. Ironically-and perhaps fittingly for two souls so deeply connected-both Nancy and Gary passed away on the 13th of the month, though in different years and months.

A devoted Catholic, Nancy remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. Even when it became difficult to attend church in person, she faithfully watched Mass from home each week.

Nancy loved her family fiercely and protected them to a fault. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren-celebrating every gathering, big or small. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she filled her home, inside and out, with decorations, warmth, and the aroma of her famous holiday meals.

Nancy also loved to cook and bake, collecting countless recipes and cookbooks over the years. Her kitchen was a place of joy and generosity, where she was happiest sharing a meal with family. She was an avid seamstress, crocheter, and knitter, crafting handmade clothing, slippers, and blankets for her loved ones. One of her proudest creations was the baptism gown she crocheted for her great-granddaughter.

Many of Nancy and Gary's weekends were spent together at one of their beloved homes away from home over the years in Silver Cliff, Marion, and St. Germain, where they found peace, laughter, and the simple pleasure of being together.

Nancy is survived by her children, Shawn (Cathy) Pagel, Cori Lardinois-Pagel, and Kelly (Jeni) Pagel; grandchildren, Beth Pagel; Josh (Amber Heidersheid) Lardinois, Justin (Michelle) Lardinois, and Joe Lardinois; Jade (Adam) LaCount, Dillon Pagel, Brett Pagel, and Ellie Pagel; and great-grandchildren, Sophie Pagel, Bentley and Tyler Noack; Micah Heidersheid, Melanie and Madison Frank; and Everly and Oaklyn Lardinois. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Sandy (Jerry) Klukow and Shirley Pagel, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; parents, Harris and Eleanor Maccaux; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Milton Barrette; father and mother-in-law, Lester and Viola Pagel; brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Pagel; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Geraldine Pagel; and Adam Noack, the beloved partner of her granddaughter Beth and father of her great-grandchildren Bentley and Tyler.

Friends and family will gather at St. Jude Parish , 1420 Division Street, Green Bay, on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM . Entombment will follow in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please visit www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice and nurses Bailey, Laurel, and Heather for their incredible compassion, support, and care during Nancy's final days. Their kindness brought peace and comfort to Nancy and her loved ones.

May she rest easy, reunited in the arms of her husband and all her loved ones who went before her.
