Michael "Mike" B. Carlson, 75, Bellevue, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at his home.
He was born July 8, 1950, in Virginia, MN to Duane Simons and Jacqueline Ann (Byron) Carlson. Michael was adopted by Stanley Carlson. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1969. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1970 and served for two years. Since then, the VA has been a true blessing in his life.
Michael's goal was to live life to the fullest. He loved a good get-together or party whether with family or friends and the food that came with. Michael has a passion for smelling food, eating food, talking about food and reminiscing on past meals. He had a food-agraphic memory, he could remember many different meals and the many different places he had eaten. His mind was sharp and he loved a good debate. He was very rarely the one to concede. Michael loved riding his motorcycle and later his convertibles.
He is survived by his wife, Patrice "Pepper" Runke Carlson; his loving goldendoodle, Vivian; his newest puppy, Lucy; siblings, Laurie (Paul) Kess, Beth (Andy) Haasl, David (Pam) Carlson, William Santeramo, David Simons; honorary brothers, Danny, Bruce, Jimmy, and Frank; special cousins, Kraig (Kathy) Byron and Lance (Alexia) Byron; beloved nieces and nephews whom he loved like grandchildren, Cole, Brice, Stevie, Adam, Vic, Brandon, Nate, Evan, Sam, Brian, Ida, Claire, Dana; other relatives and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline and Stanley; biological father, Duane Simons; siblings, Timothy Carlson, Christine Carlson, Terry Santeramo, Robert Santeramo; cousin, Brenda Byron Janke.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 1:30pm to 2pm on Saturday, January 3; Service with a sharing of memories to follow at 2pm. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Summer of 2026 in Green Bay and Babbit.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Michael's name.
