Merlin "Merle" Robert Pludeman, 84, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026. He was born December 25, 1941, in Shawano to Emil William and Edna Alma (Splitgerber) Pludeman.
Merle graduated from Bonduel High School. For over 30 years Merle worked for Procter & Gamble. He married Mary (Seidl) Brabant on March 31, 1997. Merle enjoyed bowling, putzing in his yard to perfect his landscaping, cheering on the Brewers and Packers, and watching any sporting event. He always enjoyed traveling but after retirement it became his passion and full-time hobby. Merle went on cruises, took his travel trailer throughout the United States, and was an Arizona snowbird for over 25 years. He was active within the local Holiday Rambler group and made many friends through their camping and caravaning across the states. Merle loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He made time to visit his beloved family and friends both near and far.
He is survived by his children, Jeff (Kathy) Pludeman, Sandra (Ron) Wallace, Cindy (Steve) Hopper; stepdaughter, Michelle (Brabant) Van Der Wegen and her husband Toby; grandchildren, Chris Wallace, Nicholas (Chelsea) Wallace, Sarah Hopper, William Hopper, Jesse Brabant, Zander Van Der Wegen; siblings, Roger (Carol) Pludeman, Jerry (Joanne) Pludeman; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Merle was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Emil and Edna; and other extended family and friends.
Friends and family will gather at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2736 Glendale Ave., from 9:30am to 11am on Friday, April 10; Service to follow at 11am. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Merle's name.
