Mary Verhaagh, 77, Oconto, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025. She was born June 2, 1948, in Green Bay to Leo and Genevieve (Destiche) Verhaagh.

Mary attended the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay where she studied geology. She used her education in her work as a surveyor for the State of Wisconsin. Mary made many friends over the course of her career. She enjoyed visiting Montana with her friends once a year to ride horses. Mary always had a love of horses, the outdoors, and nature. She enjoyed going up north, hiking and gardening. She always kept a huge garden.

She is survived by her brother, David Verhaagh; sister-in-law and friend, Katherine Selsmeyer Verhaagh; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Genevieve; brothers, Thomas, Dennis, Peter, and Paul; sister, Donna Drabes.
