Mary L. Simon, 86, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on Sat. Nov 30, 2024 from injuries sustained in an accident on Nov. 20, 2024.  She was born on December 8, 1937 in Algoma to Reginald and Lena (Baenen) McGuire.  On December 27, 1958 she married William "Bill" Simon.  Mary was a homemaker for many years until together they purchased Kings Canvas, specializing in custom boat covers.  She retired in 1999.

Mary excelled at sewing, and she enjoyed helping her family and friends with alterations.  She especially took pride in and excelled at creating Halloween costumes for her grandchildren.  Mary enjoyed any time on the tennis court.  She appreciated a good round of golf and looked forward to spending a couple of months during the winter in Alabama with friends.  Mary was an avid reader and loved finding good bargains on just the right gifts for her family.  Many benefited from her generosity.

Mary is survived by her husband, Bill; three children Sue (Lee) Podoski, Mark (Mari) Simon, Gary (Laura) Simon; six grandchildren, Eric (Brittney), Kalynn (Sean), Jamie, Jenna (Matthew), Will, Katherine; ten great-grandchildren, Beckett, Tia and Taytum, Blake, Ryley, Dylan, Ella, Madison, Benny, Charlie; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Olivia, and siblings, Robert, Jim, Bill, Tom, Mike, Patricia and Katy.
