Mary Ann Reimer, 88, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2025. She was born January 12, 1937, in Green Bay, to Henry and Charlotte (Mahnke) Altergott.

Mary Ann graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1955. On May 5, 1958, she married Donald Reimer at St Joseph Catholic Church. Don was the love of her life, and the couple celebrated 63 years together before Don's passing in 2021. Mary Ann worked outside the home at West Side State Bank and Kellogg Bank as well as the Midway Motor Lodge and was also an Avon representative. She was a stay-at-home mom when her children were young. In 1963, they bought a brand-new home across the street from Lambeau Field, where they lived for over 50 years. They belonged to St. Agnes Church and attended mass regularly.

Mary Ann enjoyed gardening, fishing, birdwatching, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and hunting for bargains at rummage sales. She also loved the many cats and dogs who enriched her life. She prided herself on her unique style of dress which featured layers of color-coordinated skirts, scarves, and tops. Her creative flair extended to decorating the interior and exterior of their home.

Mary Ann and Don shared a love for various forms of dancing, which included square dancing, round dancing, line dancing, and polkas. The couple belonged to the Whirl-a-way Square Dance Club and attended square dancing conventions across the country. Mary Ann's love for her family was often on display by her going above and beyond for her family during special occasions. She had a knack for finding the perfect gift and would meticulously customize greeting cards that she sent for every occasion. In recent years she enjoyed video chats and being pen pals with her great grandchildren. She also became her family's historian, researching family genealogy and passing her knowledge on to the younger generations.

The family is thankful for the caregivers at Carrington and Autumn Embers Assisted Living, who provided both Mary Ann and Don with comfort and companionship during their later years. Also, thanks to the caregivers at Unity Hospice and Meng Hospice Residence, where Mary Ann spent her final days. Special thanks to Father Patrick Beno, who was her pastor and friend.

Mary Ann is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Julie (Steve) Elver and Mary Jo Reimer; grandchildren, Neil (Erin) Elver, Jerome (Betsy) Elver; great-grandchildren, Audrey Elver, Henry Elver, Adrian Elver, Felix Elver, and Veronica Elver; brother, Robert Altergott, Sisters-in-law Carol Reimer, Judie LaRock many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, as well as grand cats Rosie and Bella.
