Mary (Seidl) Pludeman, 72, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born March 11, 1951, in Oconto to James W. and Marcella (Terrien) Seidl.

Mary was employed with the Oconto Shoe Company and with Holiday Inn for 18 years before her retirement. On December 11, 1996 Mary received the ultimate gift of a kidney from her sister Nancy, a date that bonded them together even closer. She married Merlin Pludeman on March 31, 1997. Together they were longtime members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Mary enjoyed reading, completing crossword puzzles, bowling, cards, and Keno Slots. She loved to travel and go camping with friends and family. For many years she was a snowbird and spent her winters in Arizona. Mary had a soft spot in her heart for cats, and never was without a cat to love.

She is survived by her husband, Merlin; daughter, Michelle (Brabant) Van Der Wegen and her husband Toby; stepchildren, Jeff (Kathy) Pludeman, Sandra (Ron) Wallace, Cindy (Steve) Hopper; grandchildren, Jesse Brabant, Zander Van Der Wegen, Chris Wallace, Nicholas (Chelsea) Wallace, Sarah Hopper, William Hopper; siblings, Lory (Jim) Haevers, Jim Seidl, Margaret (Richard) Joslin, Nancy (John) Wild, Bob Seidl, Mike Seidl, and Veronica (Jon) Hovland; beloved cat, Rascal; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by parents, James and Marcella; brother, John (Shirlee) Seidl.

Friends and family will gather at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2736 Glendale Ave., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, September 15; Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev.
