Mary Ann "Mousey" Gagnon, 79, Green Bay, passed away Monday, June 12, 2023. She was born May 29, 1944, in Green Bay to Barney Moes and Blanche (Piton) Bitters.
Mary attended Green Bay West High School. After graduation she worked at the pickle factory. Mary married Donald Gagnon on April 29, 1961. Together they owned and operated a few bars. Don preceded her in death in 1988. After Don's passing, she opened her own bar The Mosey Inn, on Broadway. After 10 years she moved to Oconto and opened a Mosey Inn location there. In her later years she loved being a grandma and loved attending the annual Hodag Festival. Mary was a volunteer for many years at the ADRC and Curative Creations. She was a caretaker at heart and loved helping people.
She is survived by her children, Brian (Sharon) Gagnon, Bart (Rae) Gagnon, Brent (Sherry) Gagnon, Brenda (Scott) Wanta, Brad (Amy) Gagnon; grandchildren, Brandon, Billie Jean, Bowe, Mercedes, Carrie, Trent (Hailey), Jennifer (John), Brooke (Bob), Clint (Megan), Dylan (Jessica), Justin (Amber), Mariah, Megan; nine great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ted; sisters-in-law, Helen, Janet, Phyllis; beloved dog, Cuddles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; special friend, Daniel Amenson; grandson, Hayden Gagnon; sisters, Grace Menne, Sally Everard, Germaine Everard.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 16 at SS. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Noon. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
