Mary Patricia Morgan, 85, Green Bay, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025. She was born August 15, 1940, in Green Bay to Martin Joseph and Idell Frances (Aeschliman) Morgan.
Graduated DePere High School in 1958 and St Norbert College in 1962 with a degree in Biology.
Employed by the Social Security Administration for 25 years, mostly in the Chicago area. She started as a claims representative in Chicago, became a field representative in Peoria, IL and Michigan City, IN; was promoted to an operations supervisor in several Chicago inner city offices and Milwaukee. She left the field offices and became a quality assurance specialist for the SSI program in Milwaukee. In 1980 she returned to Chicago as a disability reviewer. This led to a promotion as a disability consultant in the Great Lakes Program Service Center. Took an early retirement to return to the Green Bay area.
Employed part-time as a secretary at Scott Construction Inc. in Green Bay 1995-2001
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also spent what time she could doing volunteer work. Among her past volunteer duties, the one that she enjoyed most was the time spent at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. This allowed her to meet people from all over the world, giving information, and tours of the aquarium. In addition, she gave what time she could to the Medicare Helpers of Brown County, Literacy Council of Brown County and St. Vincent Hospital. In recent years, she crocheted afghans for abused children. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland. She loved to tell stories of interesting things that happened while in Ireland.
She is survived by her brother, Michael (Jean) Morgan; sister-in-law, Diane; nieces, and nephews, Michelle (Paul) Spanbauer, Anne (Mark) Koniecko, Pat (May) Morgan, Brian (Sarah) Morgan, Meghan (Ryan) Juinio, Matthew (Honorable Richelle Wahi) Morgan, Christopher Morgan; great-nieces and great-nephews, Sara (Adam) Martin, Ryan (Leah) Koniecko, Lisa (Hunter) Ustairis; Aiden and Kyle Morgan; Meghan and Jackson Morgan; Skyler Juinio; Andrew Morgan; Henry and Ellie Reiff; great-great-nieces, Anastasia, Rylie, and Makenzie; many cousins, other friends, and relatives.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Idell; siblings, Tom, and Dr. Martin.
