Mary Ann Frances Kosinski, 98, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born April 14, 1926, in Isaar, WI to Antone and Catherine (Hermsen) VanderVelden.
Mary married John R. Kosinski Jr. on November 11, 1950. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2011. Mary loved to craft and was constantly creating something. She had a gift for knitting and crocheting. Mary had a talent for making beautiful, beaded Christmas tree ornaments, along with Christmas stockings. They were her most cherished gifts to give. Mary would do anything for anyone. You could always count on her. She was the most welcoming mother, anyone who loved her family, she loved too.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Gary) Bartels, Mary Jane (Gary Hawley) Thomas; grandchildren, Paula (Calvin Watson) Bartels, Jeremy (Jessica) Bartels, Lance (special friend, Rachel Mckee) Thomas, Leah (Dan) Tanner; great-grandchildren, Tony Holman, Michele Holman, Samantha Bartels, Mary Bartels, Emily Thomas, Jane Thomas, Koen Tanner, Emma Tanner; great-great-grandchildren, Emilio, Zariah; brothers and sisters, Elmer VanderVelden, Gladys Ambrosius, Gerald VanderVelden; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Antone and Catherine; siblings, Virgil VanderVelden, Henry VanderVelden, Wilmer VanderVelden, Verona McNamara.
A private service has been held. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com, or cards mailed to Blaney Funeral Home to the attention of the family of Mary Ann Kosinski, and they will be forwarded.
