Mary J. "Jane" Farrell, 80, Green Bay, died Sunday, May 27, 2012 at a local hospital. Jane was born December 23, 1931 to the late Edward and Linda (Peters) Jansen in Combined Locks.

She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1949 and went on to graduate from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1952. She also graduated from UW-Green Bay with her Bachelor's Degree. Jane worked at a number of hospitals throughout the country but Bellin Health Hospital was where she loved to work and teach the most.
On January 31, 1953 she married Michael W. Farrell at Donaldson Air Force Base in Greenville, South Carolina. Jane was an accomplished author of several scientific and poetry books. She was a member of St. Willebrord Parish and belonged to different book clubs. She was also a very talented artist and painter.

Survivors include her husband, Michael; sons, William (Darla) Farrell, Green Bay, Gary (Nancy Deneys-Farrell) Farrell, Green Bay; daughter, Shelia Farrell, Pulaski; grandchildren, Aileen (Alex) Moreaux, Amber Farrell, Megan Farrell; great-granddaughter, Violet. She is further survived by her best friend, Angie Clark and extended family members.

Jane was preceded in death by two infant sons, James and Patrick; parents and her siblings.

The family will greet friends at St. Willebrord Catholic Church, 209 S. Adams Street, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 10:30 with Reverend Andrew Cribben O.Praem officiating. To send online condolences, please visit www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com
