Marlene Gard, 72, passed away at St Mary's Hospital in Green Bay on June 8, 2023. On October 16, 1950, Marlene was born to Lloyd Brienen and Stella Ostrenga at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.

Over the years Marlene worked at different hotels in Milwaukee, but her full-time job was being a single mom to her son, Michael, who was born in 1977. When Michael was in middle school, Marlene moved them back to Green Bay, where she stayed until her passing.

Marlene loved to cook for her family and often sent Michael home with a huge container of her homemade dip and box of potato chips. Every year when birthdays came around, Marlene would make a feast that could feed an army. Marlene also loved to watch movies, listen to music, and sitting outside watching the cars drive past her apartment.

Marlene leaves behind her son Michael (Amy) Gard; grandchildren, Nicholas (Courtney) Gard, Abigail Stevens, Stella Gard; and her great friend Dianne.

Preceded her in death are Marlene's parents and her sister, Veronica.
