Mark S. Rademacher, 41, Hobart, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 after a seven year battle with a terminal illness. He was born on December 4, 1982, in Des Moines, Iowa to Dr. Roger and Mattie (Woods) Rademacher.

Mark was an intelligent man with a wicked sense of humor.  He had an aptitude for almost any endeavor he put his mind to. He loved playing cards, cooking, spending weekends surrounded by friends, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes in pretty much any sport you could imagine.

Mark gave endlessly to those around him. Whether you knew him for two hours or twenty years, he would do whatever he could to help you in a pinch.

His willingness to help his in-laws, Peter and Mary Wallace of Cambridge, WI, with work around their farm will never be forgotten. Whether chain-sawing fallen limbs after a storm, or clearing thistle in the pasture, he was always willing and eager to lend a hand.

Mark loved his daughters endlessly.  In his years as a stay-at-home father, he took great joy in watching them learn and grow. He loved watching Johannah at her piano recitals and Josie at her dance recitals - both fearlessly taking the stage and sharing their talents with the world.

Mark is survived by his wife of 17 years, Emily; his two daughters, Johannah, Josephine; his siblings, Amy Montgomery, Polly (Judson) Kadolf, Wendy Willox; his aunt, Kathy Rademacher; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Mickela Joye; his grandparents; his aunts and uncles; and his two dogs, Hercules and Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established in Mark's name.

Visitation will be held at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Saturday, April 13, from 1 – 3:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

A special thank you is extended to the nursing staff in the ICU at St. Vincent Hospital, and to the Child Life Specialist, Shannon. A thank you is also extended to the Hobart and Lawrence Police Department. You all exhibited such kindness and compassion to Mark and our family, during this difficult time.
