Mark M. Mommaerts, 72, Appleton passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was born July 12, 1950, in Green Bay to Correl W. and Marjorie L. (Rathburn) Mommaerts
Mark was born and raised in Green Bay. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends. Mark had a talent for fixing cars and small engines. He spent many years as an over the road trucker and saw much of the United States. Mark was outgoing and made friends easily. He had a lively sense of humor. Mark was generous in offering help when he knew someone was in need.
He is survived by his son, Shane Mommaerts; granddaughter, Kira Mommaerts; siblings, Bruce Mommaerts, Craig (Annette) Mommaerts, Carol (Bruce) McEwing; Christopher (Miwako) Mommaerts, Therese Hoagland, Scott Mommaerts; nieces and nephews, Robert, Joshua, Julie, Steven, Jacob, AJ, Sash, Garrett, Haley, Taran, Taylor; great nieces and nephews; special friend, Vicki V. and her daughter Amanda and children.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Correl W. and Marjorie L. Mommaerts, sister, Kathleen Seanego; grandparents, Edwin and Mary Mommaerts, F. Orval and Marie Rathburn.
Friends and family will gather at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., visitation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, February 17; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating and Deacon John Bundra assisting.
