Marjorie (Walter, Conway, Fermanich) Weidner, 92 , Green Bay , passed away Thanksgiving Day, 2022 .

Marjorie (Mary Jane) "Marge" was born December 24 , 1929 , the fourth child of Joseph A. and Mabel A. (Brunette) Walter. Marge was a graduate of West High School, Class of 1947. She received an honorary degree from UWGB.

Marge was employed as a secretary/steno at Charmin Paper. WI State Probation Parole Manitowoc Office, Chevrolet Motor Division, Green Bay zone office, Green Bay Foods and was hired in 1967 as the fourth permanent full-time employee at the new University of Wisconsin – Green Bay campus, as the Administrative Assistant to the Chancellor, until her retirement in 1987.

Marge was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers, and an enthusiastic supporter of the UWGB Lady Phoenix basketball team, attending both home and away games, as well as following the team on several of the NCAA tournament game trips. Hobbies included gardening, backyard bird watching, bowling and playing bridge in her spare time while raising her three sons. In later years, while living at River Pines, she enjoyed playing dominoes and Mahjong, book club, and the many friends she made there. While married to Ed Weidner she became an enthusiastic birder, accompanying him on many birding trips throughout the states, ending with 666 birds on her North American life list.

Marge is survived by her children: Christopher (Sherill) Conway, Mark (Wendy) Conway, and Dan (Traci) Conway; special son Dr. Mokenge (Tracy) Malafa

Stepchildren: Susan Fermanich (John) Sawyer, Steven (Bonnie) Fermanich, Nancy (Lou) Kuehn; Nancy Weidner (Dean Brandt) Larson, Ellen (Bruce Hill) Weidner, Karen (Kurt Klotzbuecher) Weidner, William (Allison) Weidner.

Also survived by grandchildren: Valerie (Jerin) Schreiber, Nathan (Ashley) Conway, Marie (Ricky) Rivera, Michelle (Rob) Cintron, Michael Conway; Wendy Sawyer (Todd) McInnis, Kim (Dennis) Ponozzo, Kelly (Richard) Nelson; Jennie Maas (Dave) Stroud, Shannon Maas (Randy Metzler, Jackie (David); Shawn (Kelli) Kuehn, Kevin James Kuehn; Christopher (Jenna) Larson, William Ryan (Catherine) Klotzbuecher, Mark (Stephanie) Klotzbuecher; Peter Weidner and James (Rosy Fujimoto) Weidner; Daniel Vadim Weidner.

Great grandchildren: Annabella Grace "Bella" and Theodore "Theo" Schreiber; Matthew, Mason and Molly Rivera; Jayden, Senea, Sophia, and Castiel Cintron; Antonio and Jack Ponozzo; Caleb and Christian  Nelson; Noah, Reagan, Josie and Callie Stroud; Morgan and Anna Metzler.  Arleigh Kuehn; and Gavin Klotzbuecher. And two great-great grandchildren.

Special nieces Nancy, Cecy, Joni (Richard) Marquardt; Ann Lowenthal and Suzanne Basonic.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward J. Fermanich and husband, Edward W. Weidner, two brothers: Russell and Raymond; and a sister, Sister M. Marjorita (Beatrice): stepdaughter Diane (Fermanich) Maas, and a stepson, Gary W. Weidner.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, December 1 starting at 3:30 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr. with Rev. Thomas Reynebeau officiating.
