Marion Francis Krautkramer, 87, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026. She was born March 4, 1939, in Green Bay to Henry and Rose (Bukoski) Vannieuwenhoven.
On September 28, 1957, she married Merlin Joseph Krautkramer Sr. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary prior to his passing in March 2013. She was a dedicated wife and mother who loved to bake and cook for her family. Marion's love could be seen through her many delicious dishes and embarrassing her children with her polka dancing. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marion treated anyone who entered her home as a beloved grandchild and was welcoming to everyone. She found joy in the simple things and loved flowers and a good book. She especially enjoyed growing geraniums and history books. Marion never stopped learning and was fascinated with miscellaneous facts and obscure information. She watched history shows, Jeopardy, and reruns on MeTV and was happiest learning the littlest facts.
She is survived by her children, Mary Elsinger, Merlin Krautkramer Jr., Marlene (Dean) Krause; four grandchildren, Bethany (fiancé, Dan Dufek) Elsinger, Matthew (Jenn) Krause, Sara Krautkramer, Eric Krautkramer; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Faith, Anna, Liliana, Olivia, Elijah; sister-in-law, Mary Vannieuwenhoven; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin; mother, Rose; father and stepmother, Henry and Viola; brothers, Lawrence (Carol) Vannieuwenhoven, Gene Vannieuwenhoven; sisters, Genevieve "Gen" (Vernon) Andrews, Louise (Joseph) Andrews; stepsiblings, Margie Tappa, Roy Ellis, Elaine (John) Wilson; in-laws, Raymond and Cecelia Krautkramer.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10:30am to 12:00pm on Friday, October 9; Service to follow at Noon. Entombment will follow at Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
