Marion M. Kellner, 77, Green Bay, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025.

Marion Kellner, "Auntie Duck", was born July 13, 1948, in Green Bay to Leonard William "Bill" and Norma (Oettinger) Kellner. During her youth, Marion helped at the family grocery store on Dousman Street. In 1966, Marion graduated from St. Joseph Academy and in 1970 received her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh.

Following graduation, Marion began her teaching career with the Green Bay Public School System. Her earliest years were spent at Eisenhower and Danz elementary schools. For 24 years she taught Kindergarten at Doty Elementary school. During that time, she served on various school committees and was the building representative for the Green Bay Education Association. Marion earned the Distinguished Service Award for the GBEA.

Marion received a special school board recognition for outstanding contributions to children and staff in 1990 and was awarded the District Elementary School Teacher of the Year by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for the 1991-92 school year. She completed her 33-year teaching career and retired in 2003.

Marion served God and His church as an active member of St. Jude Parish. Her involvement and service to her parish included membership in the Women's Club, the St. Jude Board of Education, and the Spiritual Life Commission. She served as a Eucharist Minister. She particularly enjoyed her participation in the St. Jude Spirit Singers to which she belonged since 1995. The members of the choir and the St. Jude Community will sorely miss Marion's voice raised in joyful praise during the weekend liturgies. Marion enjoyed spending time with her retired teacher friends, "The Alums", as well as many luncheons with the "Blaney Boys".

She is survived by her twin sister Mary (Tom) Donart, her brother Dr. W. Joseph (Marcia) Kellner, and nieces and nephews with whom she was very close: Nicole Donart, Jennifer Donart, Andrew (Nora) Donart, Heidi (Raymond) Areaux, and Paul (Dewi) Kellner. She also had 5 great nieces and nephews that she adored: Aiden, Eleanore, Madeline, Adelaide, Benjamin and Kira. All her nieces and nephews affectionately called her "Auntie Duck".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Norma Kellner.

Friends and family will gather at St. Jude Parish, 1420 Division St., from 9:00am to 10:30am on Wednesday, November 26; Mass to follow at 10:30. Burial will be at Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
