Marion Helen Eichman ( née Erdman ) passed peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born to Helen (Gering) Erdman and John Erdman.
Marion was born on March 25, 1936, in a home in Brookside, Wisconsin. She was the middle of three children, with an older sister and a younger brother, growing up surrounded by family and the values that would shape her life. She graduated from Oconto Falls High School in 1954.
A devoted wife and mother of seven children, Marion dedicated her early years to raising her children as a full-time homemaker. In 1962, her family moved into a small brick house that became the heart of countless memories, laughter, and love. Marion's home was always warm and welcoming, and no one ever left her table hungry. She was especially known for her delicious pork chops and her homemade apple pie, dishes her family will forever associate with comfort and home.
Marion was gifted with her hands and had a special talent for embroidery and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that many family members still treasure. Faith was also an important part of her life. She and her family regularly attended services at Redeemer Lutheran Church, and her children attended grade school at Redeemer Lutheran School.
In 1970, Marion began working in the cafeteria at Keller Elementary School, where she served lunches to generations of students for nearly 30 years. Her kind presence and dedication made her a familiar and comforting face to many in the community.
Marion is survived by six of her seven children, David (Sharon) Eichman; children Eric (Mikela) Eichman and Amanda (Tyler) Berendsen, Darrel (Debbie DeGroot) Eichman; children Jennifer (Al) Mason, Brian (Crystal) Eichman, and Lacey (Dan) Wozniak, Donna (Ron) Strehlow; children Samantha (Chad) Hendricks and Andrew (Brooke Olson) Strehlow, Denise (Jack) Skaletski; children Nicole (Travis) George and Ariel (Matt) Douglas, Dan (Lori) Eichman; children Kevin, Kyle, and Katie (Tyler) Hermes, Doreen Eichman; children Stacy (Brad) Swenty and Sara (Erik) Johnson. She is further survived by 25 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy; son-in-law Randy Wanta, sister-in-law Marilyn Eichmann, and her much loved cat, Kitty.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Eichman, who passed away in 2002; her daughter, Diane; her siblings, Gary (Glenda) Erdman and Gloria (Melvin) Hovie; great-granddaughter Chloe Marie Eichman, and Doreen's fiancé Larry Rohan.
Family and friends will gather at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 210 South Oneida Street, from 10am -12pm (NOON), on Tuesday January 6 with the funeral service at Noon. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery. To send online condolences got to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
The family would like to thank ADRC for bringing Marion's meals and Rev Paul Pett for his comfort and kindness during this time.
Marion will be remembered for her quiet strength, generous heart, deep love for her family, and the way she made everyone feel cared for-whether through a warm meal, a handmade gift, or simply being there when she was needed. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
