It is with profoundly heavy hearts but extraordinary memories that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Marilyn Ethel Holz on Friday, October 31, 2025. The void left by her absence will be impossible to fill.

Marilyn was born on September 11, 1935 to Joe and Ethel Gryboski in Green Bay. After graduating from East High School, Marilyn met, and soon married, her forever husband, Roger Lee Holz, on November 12, 1955. Marilyn and Roger spent 65 fantastic years together.

Marilyn had several passions but dedicated her life to her family and was a wonderful and devoted mom to her five children who were always her number one priority. She maintained a warm, loving and lovely home where she hosted countless parties, family events, and memorable celebrations - Christmas Eve being one of her favorites. She had a knack for making each person and event feel special.

Service League of Green Bay was one of the non-profit organizations where Marilyn dedicated her time and talents for many years. She raised funds and volunteered hours that helped address the physical, educational, and emotional needs of children in Brown County.

Although Marilyn enjoyed all the various places she and Roger traveled, her heart always belonged to Longboat Key, Florida where she and Roger honeymooned and later bought a condominium on the beach. This home became a family treasure.

Some of Marilyn's most care-free times could be found during her many mother-daughter trips, each creating amazing stories and cherished memories that continue to make us laugh over and over.

She leaves behind her five children, Pamela (Robert) Becker, Cynthia (Theodore) Cheney, Amy (Craig) Dufek, Roger Tyler (Jean) Holz, Molly (Brian) Pierce; 10 grandchildren, each of whom she absolutely adored, Elisa, Alex, Jenna, Mia, Hannah, Natalie, Noelle, Jack, Jadyn, and Brendan; two great-granddaughters, Esme and Lou Lou.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her parents, Joe and Ethel; sisters, Helen and Ann; brother, John.

Friends and family will gather at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Dr., from 9:30am to 11am on Friday, November 14; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to benefit House of Hope - Green Bay to help provide emergency shelter and housing stability for youth and young parents with children.

The family will be forever grateful for the care Marilyn received over the past four months by the fantastic staff at Residence by Rennes and the previous seven years at Renaissance Assisted Living. We also want to thank Unity Hospice for their support and care during mom's final weeks.

Marilyn was truly one-of-a-kind with a special style, charm and whit that were admired by many. Mom, we love you, we miss you and we are so thankful to you for teaching us the true value of family.
