Marilyn Ann "Fritzie" Neitzel, 88, of Green Bay, WI passed away on June 23, 2023, with family by her side. Fritzie was born May 28, 1935 in Green Bay to the late Earl and Josephine (Wisniewski) Schreiber.
Fritzie was a graduate of Seymour High School and obtained her Bachelor's Degree from UW-Madison in Home Economics. On August 1, 1959 she was united in marriage to Harold "Harry" Neitzel at St. Agnes Catholic Church. They shared 57 incredible years together. Harry preceded her in death on December 17, 2016.
Fritzie enjoyed spending time and making memories with her family and friends. Whether it be going to football games at Lambeau Field, attending her granddaughter's wedding in Colorado, or traveling to Italy, she was always up for an adventure and certainly did not let grass grow under her feet.
Fritzie delighted in being around and helping others. She started a prayer shawl ministry at her parish and volunteered at St. Francis and Hospice Thrift Shops while living in Hilton Head Island, SC. She was an active member of St. Agnes Parish and was truly a servant of the Lord.
Fritzie is survived by her children, Amy (Sean) O'Brien, Kerry Neitzel, Jeff (Vicki) Neitzel; grandchildren, Timothy and Jessica Neitzel, Melanie (Tavian) Welch, and Matthew Neitzel; brothers, Bob Schreiber, Dan (Kathy) Schreiber, Michael (Colleen) Schreiber; brothers-in-law, Ervin Neitzel, Fred (Alice) Neitzel; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry; grandson, Tyler Neitzel; sister-in-law, Sue Schreiber; and sister-in-law, Virginia Neitzel.
Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 9th Street on Friday, June 30 from 9 – 11am. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please visit www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
