Marie Catherine McDonough Rowe, 85, De Pere, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. The daughter of the late Roland and Katherine (Locatelli) Laverdiere was born in Lake Linden, MI on May 18, 1939.
On May 30, 1959, Marie was united in marriage to Michael P. "Mickey" McDonough at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2001. Marie married Carlton R. Rowe on March 13, 2004. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2011.
Marie was an incredibly giving person who volunteered at the De Pere Community Center. She loved to feed the birds, especially up north at her cottage that she enjoyed spending time at. Marie was an avid reader who belonged to many groups. She had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her children, Steve McDonough, Chris (Jackie) McDonough, Lori (Bruce) Clarksen, Todd (Gretchen) McDonough; grandchildren, Heather, Kimberly, Chad, Brittany, Brianna, Nicholas, Courtney; 12 great grandchildren; sister, Judy (Don) Cortright; brother-in-law, Ernie Corpus; sister-in-law, Lois Laverdiere; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to Michael and Carlton, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Diane McDonough; grandson, Corey Clarksen; her parents; as well as brothers, James, Paul, and David Laverdiere; sisters, Jeanne Corpus, Carol Laverdiere.
Friends and family will gather at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church – De Pere, 220 S. Michigan St. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Micheal D'Souza officiating.
