Marian Witte, 86, Ashwaubenon, peacefully passed with family at her side on Thursday, August 22, 2024. Marian was born December 9, 1937, in Rockwell, Iowa. Marian was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lloyd.

Marian and her husband Lloyd grew up together in Rockwell, Iowa, a small farming community near Clear Lake. When Marian and Lloyd started dating, they often frequented the Clear Lake Ballroom dancing the night away to the great sounds of the 50's and 60's. Upon graduating high school, Marian became a switchboard operator for AT&T back in the days when operators connected party lines - and where she enjoyed becoming one of the first to learn of the Town's latest news.

Marian and Lloyd were married in 1962. Together they moved to Milwaukee when Lloyd began working in sales for the Milwaukee Railroad. Eventually they settled in Ashwaubenon (Green Bay) where Marian worked in the Montgomery Ward Human Resource Department before accepting a position at the local Green Bay TV station, channels 26 and 32 - one of her favorite jobs and where once again she became one of the first to learn of the Town's latest news.

Marian was a parishioner at Nativity for over 50 years; and Marian and Lloyd both volunteered wherever needed, including Ashwaubenon Public Safety and Bellin Hospital. Sports were their favorite pastime, though Marian and Lloyd were both pretty good at making cherry bounce, too. They enjoyed watching many a sport together. Marian's favorites were the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and UGWB Women's basketball. Without fail, every fall Sunday, it was church, football, and pizza and in that order.

While married, Lloyd and Marian enjoyed cruising, attending sporting events both home and away, and spending time with Cyndi and Mike in Florida. These past few years, Lloyd and Marian wintered in Longboat Key where they made many a friend. Though more than anything, Marian will always be remembered as a kind and caring wife, mother, and a friend to whoever she met, wherever she met them, no matter what team they rooted for.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Cyndi Seamon and her husband Mike; nephews and nieces; and many friends. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents, Maurice and Lewine Cassidy; brother, Bob Cassidy; sister in infancy; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Helen Witte.

Friends and family will gather at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S Oneida St., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27th. A Memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mathew Simonar officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Marian's family shall forever be grateful for all including the doctors, nurses, medical staff, and her many friends for their care, love, and support throughout.
