Lucille Ann Swanson, 99, De Pere, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023. She was born January 11, 1924, in Ollie, MT to Leonard and Alice (Valcq) Bartels.
Lucille attended Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Marinette, WI. Being the oldest of nine, she was a caregiver for her siblings in her younger years. She married Marvin Swanson, he preceded her in death on August 26, 1992. Lucille lived most of her life in the Marinette Menominee area. She worked for Emerson Electric as a financial secretary of the union until she retired at age 65. Lucille was a longtime member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Menominee. She enjoyed camping and traveling and feeding the birds at the animal sanctuary.
She is survived by her children, Marlene Tessier, Leonard Swanson, Elizabeth "Beth" LaCanne; grandchildren, Tammy (Cecilia) Swanson, Tracy (Rob) Adams, Andrew (Heidi) LaCanne; great-grandchildren, Katie, Robbie, Jake, Taylor, Joey, Ally; seven great-great grandchildren; siblings, Eleanor Lasse, Shirley (Myron) Bodart, Dan (Diana) Bartels, Diane "De De" (Ralph) Cavaiani; brother-in-law, Bob Warrens; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her parents, Leonard and Alice; sons and daughter-in-law, Peter Tessier, Alice Swanson, Rolland LaCanne; granddaughter, Amy Swanson; siblings, Lorraine (Gordon) Larsen, Dorothy (Merrill) Allard, Luella (Donald) Petrosky, Gladys Warrens; brother-in-law, Gene Lasse.
