Loren "Chap" Roethlisberger, 80, Suamico, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. The son of the late Roy and Audrey (Ginke) Roethlisberger was born on May 18, 1944, in Oshkosh, WI. Chap was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, Class of '62.

On May 23, 1964, Chap married the former Diane Rondou at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2021.

Chap was hired by the Green Bay Fire Department on February 2, 1968. During his career, Chap was promoted to Engineer, Lieutenant, and finally Captain before retiring on New Year's Eve of 1997. Chap had a strong work ethic and was a hardworking, proud provider for his family.

In his free time, Chap loved to hunt and fish. He was also a skilled woodworker. Chap enjoyed spending time at the family cottage on Half Moon Lake, being with his friends and family, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, spending time in Mishicot with the Samz family, as well as watching NASCAR and attending Packer games with Diane.

Survivors include his sons, Scott (Lori) and Brad (Lori); grandchildren, Chad, Lauren, Erin, Tyler; and stepbrother-in-law, Ron Huebscher; stepsister-in-law, Alice Huebscher.

Chap was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane; parents; in-laws, Lorraine and Hank Huebscher; stepbrother-in-law, James Huebscher; stepsisters-in-law, Shirley (Jim) Mathys and Pat Huebscher.

Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, November 21; followed by a Fire Department Honor Guard Service at 6 p.m. Entombment will take place at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
