Lloyd Dean Steinbrecher, 88, Green Bay, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born September 20, 1934, in Green Bay to Leo and Gladys (Rickert) Steinbrecher.

Lloyd graduated from Catholic Central High School, Class of 1952. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1954. Lloyd attended St. Norbert College. He met Janice Orde and married in her in 1958, she preceded him in death in 1981. Together they had 5 children. Lloyd began his career at HJ Martin in 1959 as a carpenter. For 63 years he was very active in the 1146 Carpenters Union.

After retirement Lloyd enjoyed traveling and volunteering at Annunciation Catholic Church. He was a life-long member and active member of the church, including leadership with Boy Scout Troop 1008 for many years. Lloyd loved reading, playing cards, gardening and woodworking. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Lloyd enjoyed making booyah and spending time with his family. He was an all-around great man, husband, father, and grandfather. Lloyd adored his family and was the family role model.

He is survived by his children, Mark (Janet) Steinbrecher, Paul (Jennifer Rusilowski) Steinbrecher, Christine Sylvestre, Gary (Lia) Steinbrecher, Susan (Dennis) Irvine; grandchildren, Eric (Shawna) Steinbrecher, Laura (Grant) Heim, Monica (Chris Hemb) Steinbrecher, Erin Steinbrecher, Aimee Steinbrecher, Rob Martinez, Valerie (Cory) Meetz, Sean (Dana Washkuhn) Quigley, Melanie Sylvestre, Ryan McClintock, Molly Steinbrecher, Amber Dreier, Emma Dreier; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Steinbrecher, Archer Steinbrecher; significant other, JoAnn Terrien; sisters, Joan Mathews, Janis (Fran) Seroogy; sisters-in-law, Joyce Wecker, Kay Orde, Patricia Steinbrecher; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents, Leo and Gladys; brother, Jerry Steinbrecher; son-in-law, Joe Sylvestre; parents-in-law, Walter and Lucille Orde; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Friends and family will gather at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11 a.m.; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m.  Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
