Lisa May (Wery) Mastalir, 62, Casco, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born April 3, 1961, in Green Bay to Charles and Beverly (Peckinpaugh) Wery.

Lisa graduated from Bayport High School, Class of 1978. She went on to attend NWTC and worked on the family farm and greenhouses in Duck Creek, WI. Lisa enjoyed working and spending time in the fields with her dad. She later worked for a variety of retail stores in loss prevention but felt a deeper calling to serve her community. For 20 years she was able to impact so many lives over the phone as a 911 dispatcher. Lisa worked for the Green Bay Police Department and Brown County 911 until she retired due to her illness. She fully enjoyed her job and loved her work family or her "peeps." She also worked for Scappoose Police Department, in Scappoose, OR, as a secretary.

She married Joseph Mastalir on October 1, 2001 on the beach in Cannon Beach, OR. Lisa was the family protector and was always looking out for everyone including many stray cats. She loved animals, nature, and country drives or "farmer drives." Lisa was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, crafting, painting, researching genealogy, growing hostas, and gardening. Lisa loved to decorate and would always have seasonal décor around her home. She had an amazing sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Mastalir; siblings, Linda (Terry) Lambert, Grant C. (Susan) Wery, Laurie (Bruce) Valind, Jenny Van Rossum, Cindy (Bill) Carpenter, Renee Wery, Jeronimo Trejo. Lisa is further survived by stepchildren, Anthony (Danielle) Mastalir, Michael (Whitney) Mastalir, Sherri (Steve) Rubringer, Jessica Des Jarlais, Jeremy Des Jarlais, Jason Des Jarlais; nieces and nephews, Grant W. (Joan) Wery, Trent (Larissa) Powell, Miranda (Juan) Cueller Trejo, Melissa (Tom) Nuthals, Justin (Loretta Schwittay) Van Rossom, Sara Carpenter, Amy Munoz, Kimberly Carpenter, Jacqueline Wery Trejo, Isabella Wery Trejo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Debbie) Mastalir, Greg Mastalir, Richard Mastalir, Maria (Darrel) LeCloux, Mark Mastalir, Meg (Bill) Kline, Blaine Mastalir, and Chris Mastalir. In addition, she is further survived by multiple step grandchildren and great nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Beverly Wery; infant sister, Amy Wery; parents-in-law, Joseph and Patricia Mastalir; brother-in-law, John Van Rossum.

Friends and family will gather at St. Bernard Parish, 2040 Hillside Ln., from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 27; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Casco WI. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
