Linda S. Cota, 69, Green Bay, passed away after a courageous and lengthy battle with an illness, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born on Dec 22, 1950, in Escanaba, MI to Lorraine (Maynard) and William Ward Sr.

Linda grew up in Michigan, graduating in 1969 from Big Bay de Noc High School. She married Daniel Cota on July 5, 1969 and together raised their daughter, Danielle Lyn.

Linda worked for a shoe factory in Pulaski and a fire restoration company. She was a dedicated parishioner of SS. Edward and Isidore Catholic Church for 18 years in Faith Formation. Linda really liked the angels and now she has joined them. Family was most important to her, especially the time spent with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Linda really loved her time camping with family and playing cards.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Daniel L. Cota; daughter, Danielle Lyn Cota; grandchildren, Kelly, Caleb, Joseph, Luci, Dawson and Aksel; her siblings, Sonya, Mary Lynn, Deanna and Montgomery; as well as dozens of nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Peter, Bill Jr., Bernie, Mark Albert; sisters, Krystal, Norma, Amber, and Faye; and granddaughter, Melody Cota.

Visitation will be at SS. Edward and Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Rd., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18; followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating. Burial will be in SS. Edward and Isidore Cemetery. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .

The family extends a special thank you to her neighbor, Sandy Matuzak, for her care, thoughtfulness and compassion; lifetime neighbors, Arlene and Jack DeGroot, for their care; and the staffs of Emerald Bay and Heartland Hospice.

Linda's passion for angels was immense. Many angels watched over her throughout her life. Her brothers and sisters now rejoice with her in Heaven, as angels all together.
