LeRoy J. Brzezinski, 72, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 14, 2024 after a brave battle against cancer and Guillain-Barré syndrome. He was born March 5, 1951 in Wausau to Albin and Lydia (Gruna) Brzezinski.
He graduated from Newman Catholic High School. LeRoy was a sales representative for various automotive parts companies for over 40 years. He worked for Walker, Napa, Catco, and most recently Redneck Trailer Parts. On August 17, 1991, LeRoy married Jane Hayes and they enjoyed 32 years of marriage. LeRoy was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and served as a lector and reader for many years.
LeRoy and Jane loved traveling and hiking in over 40 National Parks. Their favorite was Glacier which they visited numerous times. They also loved all-inclusive Caribbean vacations as well as trips to Alaska and Hawaii. After retirement, LeRoy walked every day and joined the YMCA. His brother, Harry introduced him to pheasant hunting in the Dakotas and fishing in Canada. These trips were very special to LeRoy. He was a golfer and bowled on a league in younger years.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; brother, Harry (Carol) Brzezinski, Atlanta, GA; sister, Marge Brzezinski, Wausau, WI; brothers-in-law, Dan F. Hayes, Fond du Lac, WI; Brian C. Hayes (Nancy), Eureka, WI; nieces and nephews, Mike (Shannon) Brzezinski, Monroe, GA; John (Meghan) Brzezinski, Hoschton, GA; Steve Hayes, Fond du Lac, WI; Karen (Greg) Scheib, Sheboygan, WI; Kelly (Matt) Stafford, Fond du Lac, WI; Dr. Nate (Christina) Hayes, Madison, WI; John Hayes, Milwaukee, WI; Liz Hayes, Antigo, WI; great-nieces and nephews, Andrew, Emily, Grayson, Charlie Rose Brzezinski, Austin (Chloe) Scheib, Trever Scheib (Maddeline), Tyler and Ethan Stafford, Cormac, Corinne, and Caleah Hayes, Elena and Mirabelle Stickney; other relatives, and friends.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Lydia; sister, Caroline Brzezinski; sister-in-law, Mary C. Hayes; two very special pets, Shammy and Callie.
