Leon R. Drzewiecki, 85, Green Bay, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born September 28, 1938, to Zigmund "Zeke" and Rose M. (Daun) Drzewiecki.

Leon attended St. John the Baptist Grade School in Howard and Catholic Central High School. He was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1956 and served at Camp LeJeune, N.C. until his honorable discharge in 1959. Leon enjoyed spending time at his family's cottage on Harbor Lights Road and enjoyed painting scenes from the cottage and Green Bay.  He was extremely interested in history, especially related to Duck Creek and Suamico. Leon was employed by Curative Connections Workshops.

He is survived by his sister, Sr. Maria Drzewiecki O.S.F.; all the sisters of the St. Francis Community and many cousins.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Zigmund and Rose.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16; Service to follow at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
