Lawrence Parish Webster, Jr. (known by many as "Coach") passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, surrounded by family, at his home in De Pere, WI. Born on August 8th, 1943, "Larry" was the beloved son of Lorna and Lawrence Webster.

Larry moved from Connecticut to Green Bay, WI in the mid 1970's where he met the love of his life. On January 15th, 1977, Larry married Jacky (De Wolfe) at St. Patrick Church in Green Bay, Wi.  They have spent the last 49 years building a treasured family unit together.

Larry proudly served as Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he exemplified courage and commitment, putting his life on the line for all of us. His time in the Corps instilled in him values of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his life. He was a proud veteran and continued to support the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans organizations as an active member.

After his military service, Larry eventually transitioned into a successful career in sales, where his dedication and ability to connect with people earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.  He excelled as Regional Manager at Hills Bros. Coffee, and later at Nestle Beverage Company. He took early retirement from Nestle and he and Jacky built a "family" business running a series of gas stations (called "Give-N-Go" and "Pick-N-Roll") as well as a liquor store ("Fast Break"), turning them into thriving businesses through dedication and teamwork. Larry and Jacky were a great team throughout life's peaks and valleys.  They constantly chose to love each other no matter what.

Larry was also deeply committed to his community. He served the community on the Board of Directors for Heritage Hill State Park, as well as Guardian Ad Litem for CASA of Brown County, advocating for the well-being of children in need. He loved helping others, especially kids. Additionally, Larry coached youth basketball for Parish (PJ) and Trista's teams. Over the years, Larry has coached hundreds of kids, and all of them, to this day, still remember Larry as the best coach they ever had and had the most fun when playing for him.  What made him special was that he found a way to make everyone feel like they were a contributing member of the team, no matter how much playing time they received. He also conducted several coaching clinics, helping other youth coaches grasp the importance of connection and teaching the fundamentals.

His community connection continued later in life when he met the Green Bay Rugby Club…… that team became family.  Amazing times and memories such as the Airplane Pull for the Honor Flight where the Team came in First place, to raffles to helping the community at Christmas for those in need.  The team was always there to lend a helping hand to Larry and Jacky in times of need.

Many did not know, however, that Larry also coached in college. First at The College of Holy Cross, and then at UW-Green Bay in the 70's (under Carol Hammerle). He also played Division 1 college basketball at the University of Connecticut and Valparaiso University (where he graduated with a major in History and a minor in business).

During his time at Nestle Beverage Company, Larry participated in several Pro-Am golf events at the Greater Milwaukee Open of the PGA Tour.  His groups got to play with players like Nick Price, Billy Mayfair, and Gil Morgan. Larry was never a long-ball hitter, but he could putt!  Oftentimes, he would get asked to join teams in the Oldsmobile Scramble, because of his touch around and on the greens.

Larry loved all things history, going for walks, playing golf, and watching basketball. Above all, Larry was a devoted family man, where he and Jacky never missed sporting events. They cherished every moment spent with loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Larry enjoyed memories with PJ playing golf together, as well as attending UW-Green Bay Men's Basketball games back in the late 1980's/early 1990s, watching another father/son duo in Dick/Tony Bennett. His last coaching adventure was with his son, PJ. PJ became Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Little Chute High School.  To have his last coaching stop be with his son, rising in the coaching ranks and supporting him meant the world to Larry, and they made memories that will last forever.

He loved taking Trista out golfing, as well as helping her practice softball (pitching), volleyball (setter), and basketball (small forward).  Trista became great at every sport and credits her dad for teaching her the fundamentals and work ethics. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love for his family were the cornerstones of his life. With Larry's support and mentorship, Trista opened her first business when she was in college. This provided Trista with the knowledge and experience to open her own PT Clinic in 2022 which continues to grow and be a success.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jacky; his children, Parish (Beth) Webster and Trista (Todd) Larson; his granddaughter, Maddyn, and their dog Ziva. He is further survived by several cousins of the Schnicke and Gandre families.  He was preceded in death by his parents Lorna and Lawrence Sr, Uncle "Doc" Elmer (Mary Lou Schnicke), cousins Donald Gandre, Linda Gandre, and Loren Schnicke, Muriel Casey, and other nieces, nephews and friends.  He is also preceded in death by several family dogs that he loved so much, such as Boomer, Reggie, Seymour and Krugger.
