LaVerne D. Wall, 92, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. She was born on June 25, 1927, in Milwaukee to Herbert and Frances (Maidl) Wardeska.

LaVerne graduated from Wabeno High School in 1945. She married Elroy G. Wall in 1947 and shared 41 years together before his passing in 1988, during which they raised two children; Susan and Jonathan. LaVerne was a strong woman who cared deeply for her family. She was closest with her sisters, especially while growing up. LaVerne was an avid reader of mostly fiction. She worked for Snyder Drug for 25 years as a bookkeeper. LaVerne loved a number of family pets over the years.

Survivors include her children, Susan (Jack) VandenAvond, Jonathan (Eugenia) Wall; grandchildren, Anne (Celestino Perez) VandenAvond, Thomas J. (Aracelia Franco) VandenAvond, Schaffer Wall; a granddog Kona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy G. Wall; her parents; and her sisters, Dolores (Walter) Miller and Lois (Jerome) Wink.

Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 1; followed by the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. with Deacon Jerry Coenen officiating. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
