LaVerne "Toni" D. Creighbaum, 88, Howard, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was born August 25, 1935, in Chicago, Il.

Toni graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago, IL. She married Donald G. Creighbaum on June 18, 1955 and together they had three children. The family moved from Chicago to Wausau and later from Wausau to Green Bay. She loved to host the holidays and feed everyone. She made sure her children never went without. Toni was a great cook with homemade bread, pies, the best lasagna, and soups, as some of her special dishes. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bowling, bingo, and many other games. Her favorite hobby was camping and was always happiest when her entire family could go camping. As a family she loved traveling and vacationing, even if it was just for an afternoon. Sundays were for family drives with the windows down and country music playing.

Toni and Don bought a camper to continue taking their camping trips, especially at The Wells State Park in Cedar River, MI, where she loved spending time at campsites on the water. Toni was a strong, stubborn, and loving woman. She made many friends through her neighborhood and through the Howard-Suamico Optimist Club and was proud to be a grandma and great-grandma.

She is survived by her children, Rod (Mary) Creighbaum, Dave (Lisa) Creighbaum, Karen (Gregg) Campbell; grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Minnoch, Kevin Creighbaum, Shayna (fiancé, Chris Brilliott) Creighbaum, Autumn (Clay Coopman) Creighbaum; great-grandchildren, Azrial, Mya, Kingsley; sister, Gail Sullivan, step-grandchildren, Justin, Ricky, Nick; six step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, Eleanor and Stanley Godek; brothers-in-law, Lee "Bud" Creighbaum, Joe Sullivan; parents-in-law, Gordon Creighbaum and Lillian Creighbaum.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25; Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Forrest Home Cemetery in Marinette, WI. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Toni's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Patient Pines staff, Toni, Angela, Cindy, Carrie, Brittany, Michelle, and the rest of the wonderful staff. A thank you to Unity Hospice and their year long care especially Ashley and to Jodi from Lakeland Care.
