Larry F. Wiggins of Green Bay passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026 surrounded by his daughters. A proud veteran and accomplished musician, Larry dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving his country through the power of music. He lived a life defined by quiet strength, boundless patience, and an unwavering commitment to the people he loved.
Born on December 30, 1941 in Benton, Illinois to William and Joan (Faye) Wiggins, Larry discovered a lifelong passion for the trumpet at a young age. After graduating from Benton High School (Class of 1960), his exceptional musical talent led him to enlist in the U.S. Navy, where he attended the U.S. Naval School of Music in Washington D.C. During his service, Larry performed for historic presidential arrivals, high-profile military honors, and official state events. Notably, he played for President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline at the White House Rose Garden as well as for the arrival of NASA's astronaut Gordon Cooper from his space mission.
Following his retirement from active duty, Larry relocated to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where he met and married the love of his life, Suzanne on July 12, 1969. They were blessed with two daughters: Andrea (Foley) in 1970 and Jennifer (Stukel) in 1974, both born in Fond du Lac. Larry worked many years with Western Electric Company as a telephone technician until starting off on his own business ventures. Prior to retiring, he owned and operated a variety of businesses in Colorado and Green Bay along with his wife, Suzanne. They always had that entrepreneurial spirit and were fortunate to be able to work alongside each other for many years where they were respected for their remarkable work ethic and integrity.
Larry's greatest joy was being with his family. He taught by example, showing his family the value of honesty, hard work, kindness and grace. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel safe, valued, and deeply loved. His hands were strong, his advice was sound, and his heart was endlessly open. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Andrea (Mike) Foley of De Pere, WI and Jennifer (Jason) Stukel of Minnetonka, MN; his cherished grandsons, Roman and Theodore Stukel; Luke and Pierce Foley - who will all carry forward the lessons of his amazing life; a brother Richard (Janet) Wiggins of Aurora, IL, as well as, cherished nieces, nephews, and his extraordinary Naval friends/band mates "Sea Dogs"- Mark Hettle, John Galos and Vinnie Vitale.
Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Suzanne, parents, William and Joan Wiggins, parents-in-law, Walter and Helen (Schlicher) Gehde, brother George "GA" Wiggins and sister-in-law, Pam Wiggins.
