Kermeith "Kerm" Edwin Schelter, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI. Kerm was born on February 10, 1937 in De Pere, WI to the late Aaron and Ruby (Nohr) Schelter.
He lived his childhood and early adulthood in De Pere, WI, where he raised his family with his wife Shirley. They married in Lena on April 12, 1958. They had four children, Tammy, David, Amy and Mark. Shirley sadly lost her battle to cancer in 1996.
Kerm spent his working years as a carpenter. He quickly found his skill for working with his hands. After retirement, he moved to his summer home in Lena, WI. This was his sanctuary for hunting, fishing, and everything outdoors. If you dropped by and he wasn't in his boat or in the woods, you would find him in his garage, drinking a beer and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. While living in Lena, he met his wife Marjorie Nash. Together, they lived in Lena, WI for the summers and in Brownsville, TX for the winters. They had many friends in Texas, often talking about the BBQs and good times they had.
Kerm is survived by his children, Tammy and David, his seven grandchildren, and his nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his wife Marjorie, and her three children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather at The Wooden Shoe Restaurant, 100 W Main Street, Lena, starting at 2pm on Saturday, August 23 for a celebration of Kerm's life. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
