Kay was caring, compassionate, loving, kind, and we lost her way too soon.

Kay Lorraine Van Egeren, 73, Green Bay, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Froedtert Medical - Cancer Center. She was born November 23, 1951, in Green Bay to Stanley and Ellen (Morasky) Olson.

Kay graduated from West High School in 1970 and three years later married her classmate, Harvey Bishop. Together they had one cherished son, Ryan. On April 20, 1990, she married Peter Van Egeren at Trinity Lutheran Church. They had recently celebrated their 35th anniversary with family and friends. For many years Kay was employed at Montgomery Ward's Auto Center while also earning a bachelor's degree at UW - Green Bay. She later worked for Aurora Visiting Nurses, where she organized many memorable social events for employees. Most recently Kay was working at Kohl's westside location.

Kay was active at her church and used her organizing and delegating skills on various committees as well as many annual banquets that raised thousands of dollars for Fort Howard School students. Taking after her father, she reestablished and managed Trinity's slow pitch softball team that played in the Sunday Church League and included her son and husband as players. Kay was a competitor at heart and loved to win at games especially Yahtzee and dominoes.

She is survived by her husband, Pete; son, Ryan; Pete's children, Chad Van Egeren, Chris (Randy) Fischer, Jeff Van Egeren; grandchildren, Evie Van Egeren, Emily Fischer, Gage Van Egeren, Tyler (Chelsey) Van Egeren; great-grandson, Owen Van Egeren; sisters, Karil Van Boxel, Nancy (Chuck) Wobig, Brenda Olson; in-laws, Pat Roy, Donna (Bob) Srenaski, Dan (Vicki) Van Egeren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Ellen; parents-in-law, Jack and Nora Van Egeren; nephews, Chad Olson, Kyle Fischer; brother-in-law, Jack Van Boxel.

Friends and family will gather at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 S Broadway, from 9 am to 11 am on Friday, August 8; Service to follow at 11 am. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
