Kathleen "Kathy" Janet Nielsen, 82, Green Bay, passed away peacefully Monday, September 15, 2025 after a beautiful day filled with visits from her children and grandchildren. She was born July 13, 1943, in Green Bay to Cliff and Nellie (Van Beynan) Kollman.

Kathy attended East High School with the class of 1962. After high school, she worked at Diana Manufacturing where she met the love of her life, William C. Nielsen. They were married on February 1, 1964 and together they raised their family.

Kathy worked at Konop Vending where she retired after 22 years. In her earlier years she enjoyed camping with family and friends, bowling on Saturday nights and getting together with neighbors and friends in the back yard. She later took an interest in doing puzzles and playing cards. She looked forward to her weekly visits from her grandkids and great grandkids.

Kathy had a big heart and was always making new friends everywhere she went, constant laughter from her stories that would last a lifetime. If you know her, you knew the bubble gum story. Kathy was the piece of the puzzle that held the family together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Robert "Bobby" (Tracey) Nielsen; daughter, Beth (Jeff) Bielski; grandchildren, Brooke (David) Platkowski, Hailey Nielsen, Ashley (Ryan) Ziegler, Nicole (special friend, Gavin Henn) Bielski, Josh Bielski; great-grandchildren, Vaida and Booker Platkowski, Carson Bielski, Braylee and Scarlett Ziegler, Cade Bentley; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; her parents, Cliff and Nellie; sister, Jacqueline A. (Thomas) Berceau; parents-in-law, Burel and Gen (Babler) Nielsen.
