Kathleen E. King, 92, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, May 27, 2023, while being cared for by her daughters. Kathleen was born Sept. 16, 1930 in Green Bay to Adam and Esther (Hoffmann) Wenzel. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy High School, and began working at WG&R Furniture as a bookkeeper.
Kathleen met and married the love of her life, John W. King on May 5, 1951 and went on to become a devoted wife and mother, raising four daughters. She also worked at Romo Advertising and Montgomery Wards prior to her retirement.
Kathleen and John enjoyed camping, biking, and meeting with friends. She always enjoyed reading, talking with friends and family, participating in clubs, working with sewing and crafts; and most recently, her weekly domino club.
Kathleen is preceded in death by an infant son and her husband, John W.; her sister, Patricia Heintzkill; two brothers, James and Harold Wenzel; infant brother, Robert Joseph; sister-in-law, Patricia (Kelly) Wenzel; brother-in-law, Donald Hallam.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Ronald) Blemberg, Kathleen (Donald) Forcucci, Lynne (Thomas) Oswald and Barbara (William) Hujet; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings, Thomas (Mildred) Wenzel, Rosemary Hallam, Barbara (John) Craghan and Joseph (Kathy) Wenzel and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the church. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
